ThinkMode+ ("we," "us," or "our") operates the ThinkMode+ browser extension for Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge, as well as the website thinkmodeplus.com (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

By installing the extension or using our website you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please uninstall the extension and discontinue use of the website.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

When you create an account or subscribe to a paid plan you may provide us with an email address and payment details. Payment information is processed entirely by Stripe — we never see or store your full credit card number.

1.2 Extension Settings (Chrome Sync)

ThinkMode+ stores your extension preferences (such as which AI platforms are enabled and your preferred thinking mode) using the Chrome Storage Sync API. This data is tied to your browser profile and synced across your signed-in devices by Google. We do not transmit this data to our own servers.

1.3 What We Do Not Collect

We are committed to minimal data collection. ThinkMode+ does not collect:

  • Your browsing history or the URLs you visit
  • The content of your prompts, conversations, or AI responses
  • Personal data such as your name, phone number, or physical address
  • Keystroke or mouse-tracking data
  • Analytics or telemetry data from the extension itself

2. How We Use Information

The limited information we do process is used exclusively to:

  • Provide the Service — sync your extension settings across devices and authenticate your subscription status.
  • Process payments — manage subscriptions, issue invoices, and handle billing through Stripe.
  • Communicate with you — send transactional emails related to your account (e.g., payment receipts, plan changes). We do not send marketing emails unless you explicitly opt in.
  • Improve the Service — diagnose technical issues and improve reliability. Any debugging data is aggregated and anonymized.
  • Comply with legal obligations — respond to lawful requests from authorities when required by applicable law.

3. Third-Party Services

3.1 Chrome Web Store / Edge Add-ons

ThinkMode+ is distributed through the Chrome Web Store and the Microsoft Edge Add-ons store. When you install the extension, Google or Microsoft may collect data in accordance with their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review those policies independently.

3.2 Stripe (Payment Processing)

All subscription payments are handled by Stripe, Inc. Stripe collects and processes your payment information under its own privacy policy. We receive only a tokenized reference, your email, and the status of your subscription — never your full card details.

3.3 AI Platforms

ThinkMode+ modifies the user interface of third-party AI platforms (ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini) to enable extended thinking features. The extension does not intercept, read, or transmit any of your prompt or conversation data. Your interactions with those platforms remain governed by their respective privacy policies.

4. Cookies

The thinkmodeplus.com website uses only essential session cookies required to keep you signed in and maintain basic site functionality. We do not use advertising cookies, third-party tracking cookies, or analytics cookies.

You may configure your browser to refuse cookies, but doing so may prevent you from signing in or managing your subscription on our website.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect the limited data we handle, including HTTPS encryption for all web traffic, secure authentication tokens, and restricted access controls. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account information (email and subscription status) for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. ThinkMode+ is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the European Economic Area). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
